Plasterer websites you build yourself, free for 14 days

Plastering is judged on the finish, and nobody can judge a finish from a name on a van. Build a one page website for your plastering business that shows your walls and ceilings, says what you take on and where, and makes it easy to send you photos of the room for a price. About 2 minutes to build, free for 14 days, £299 once if you keep it.

What a customer wants to see before they ring a plasterer

People looking for a plasterer have usually just had a rewire, a leak, or a look under old wallpaper. They search for skimming, replastering a room, ceiling repair, Artex removal or rendering, plus their town. They often have no idea what it should cost, so they are looking for someone who looks tidy, replies, and gives a straight price.

Close ups of the finish

A flat, freshly skimmed wall photographed in daylight, before the decorator gets to it, is your proof. Add a before shot of the same wall and the customer understands what they are paying for.

📋

Which jobs you take

Say whether you do single walls and patch repairs, or only full rooms and whole houses. Say whether you do external render, dry lining and coving, or skimming only. It saves both sides a wasted call.

💬

A simple way to get a price

Ask for room sizes and a few photos by WhatsApp or email. Plenty of plastering jobs can be roughly priced from photos, and customers like not having to take a day off work for a quote visit.

What goes on a good one page site for plasterers

The wording customers use is not always the trade's wording. They type "skim a wall", "plaster over Artex", "fix a hole in the ceiling", "damp wall replaster" and "render the front of the house". Use those phrases on the page alongside the proper terms, with the towns you cover, and you match what is actually being searched.

  • Skimming, replastering, ceilings and patch repairs, listed as separate services
  • Rendering, dry lining and coving, only if you do them
  • Before and after photos of your own work, taken in daylight
  • The smallest job you will take on, stated honestly
  • How you protect floors and furniture, and that you clear up after
  • Drying times and when the wall can be painted, in a line or two
  • The towns you cover
  • Tap to call, WhatsApp and email buttons

Accreditations and trust marks worth showing

There is no licence for plastering in the UK, so trust comes from evidence. An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in plastering is worth stating. A CSCS card matters if you want site or contractor work. Public liability insurance should be named with the cover amount, because you are working inside people's homes. TrustMark registration is a real plus if you have it, since it is a government endorsed scheme.

If you work on older houses with lime plaster, or do lath and plaster ceiling repairs, say so clearly. Owners of period properties search for exactly that and want to know before they ring.

Mistakes plasterers make online

  • Photos taken at night under a work light, which make a good finish look patchy.
  • Only showing finished, decorated rooms, where the plastering cannot be seen at all.
  • No mention of mess, dust sheets or clearing up, which is the thing homeowners worry about most with wet trades.
  • Listing every building service going, so it is unclear you are a plasterer first.
  • A Facebook page as the only presence, with the phone number buried in an old post.

How it works, and what it costs

I am one person, not an agency. I made the builder so you can see your own site before you spend anything.

1. Build it yourself, free

Open the builder, type in your business name, area and phone number, and it puts your page together in about 2 minutes. No card up front.

2. Free for 14 days

Change the wording, look at it on your phone, show it to someone whose opinion you trust. It costs nothing for the 14 days.

3. Keep it for £299 once

If you keep it, it is £299 once and it goes live on its own address within 24 hours of payment. No monthly fee, hosting included. If you do not pay, it is switched off and nothing is charged.

The domain name itself is not included (about £8 to £15 a year, and it stays in your name). Connecting it is free.

Plasterer website FAQs

Questions plasterers ask me. Anything else? Send me a message.

What photos should a plasterer put on a website?

Daylight photos of freshly skimmed walls and ceilings, taken before they are painted, with a before photo of the same area where you have one. Close ups of corners, reveals and where the ceiling meets the wall show skill better than a wide shot of a finished room.

Should I put a day rate or a price per room on my site?

A rough guide, such as a from price to skim an average bedroom, helps customers who have no idea what plastering costs. Make it clear the final price depends on the state of the walls, the ceiling height and access. If you would rather not publish prices, ask for room sizes and photos so you can reply with a figure.

Is it really free to build?

Yes. You build the site yourself in the builder in about 2 minutes, and it is free for 14 days. There is no card up front. If you keep it, it is £299 once, with no monthly fee and hosting included. If you do not pay, the site is switched off and nothing is charged.

What happens after 14 days?

If you want to keep the site, you pay £299 once and it goes live on its own address within 24 hours of payment. There is no monthly fee and hosting is included. The domain name itself is not included (about £8 to £15 a year), but connecting it is free. If you do not pay, the site is switched off and nothing is charged.

Can I say I only take on full rooms, not small patches?

Yes. Put it in plain words next to your services. Being clear about your minimum job stops the calls you do not want and makes the ones you do get more likely to be worth quoting. If you are happy to do patches and small repairs, say that instead, because many plasterers will not.

I get most of my work from builders and decorators. Do I still need a site?

Referrals will keep coming, but a homeowner who is handed your name will often look you up before ringing. A simple page with your finish, your area and your number backs up the recommendation. It also lets you pick up direct work, which you price yourself.
