Heating engineer websites you build yourself, free for 14 days

When a boiler stops in January, the customer wants three things on one screen: proof you are Gas Safe registered, that you cover their postcode, and a button that rings you. Build a page that shows exactly that, yourself, in about 2 minutes. It is free for 14 days, then £299 once if you keep it.

What a customer checks before they ring a heating engineer

Heating work arrives through two kinds of search. Urgent ones (boiler not working, no hot water, boiler losing pressure) and planned ones (new boiler quote, boiler service, landlord gas safety certificate). Your page has to answer both without making anyone scroll far.

🛡️

Gas Safe number, in plain sight

It is illegal to work on gas without being on the Gas Safe Register, and customers are told to check. The heating layout puts your registration number near the top, so they can look you up on the register and see that it is you.

📞

A call button for breakdowns

Someone with no heating is not going to fill in a form. A tap to call button at the top of the page, with your real hours next to it, is what makes the phone ring. If you do not work out of hours, say so.

🔥

Boiler installs, given room

List the brands you fit, whether you are an accredited installer for any of them, the warranty length that comes with that, and what a quote visit involves. It is the biggest job you sell, so do not squeeze it into one line.

What goes on a good one page site for heating engineers

The searches are plain: boiler repair plus a town, boiler service near me, new boiler cost, gas safety certificate for landlords, power flush, radiator not heating up. A one page site that names each of those services in ordinary words, next to the towns you cover, gives Google and the customer the same clear answer.

  • Your Gas Safe registration number, and the appliance types you are qualified for
  • A tap to call button at the top, with the hours you really answer
  • Boiler installation, with the brands you fit and the warranty lengths
  • Servicing and repairs listed separately, so each one can be found
  • Landlord gas safety certificates (CP12), if you do them
  • The towns and postcodes you cover
  • Oil, LPG or heat pump work, only if you hold the ticket for it
  • Photos of your own installs, pipework included

Accreditations and trust marks worth showing

Gas Safe is the one that matters by law, and the customer can verify it on the Gas Safe Register website, so never show a number that is not yours or has lapsed. If you work on oil, OFTEC registration is the equivalent signal. For heat pumps, MCS certification matters because grant funded installs need an MCS certified installer, so show it if you have it.

Manufacturer accredited installer schemes (Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal and others run them) are worth a line because they usually come with a longer warranty for the customer. TrustMark and Which? Trusted Traders are optional extras. Leave out any badge you cannot back up.

Mistakes heating engineers make online

  • Hiding the Gas Safe number in the footer, or leaving it off altogether.
  • Saying 24 hour emergency cover when the phone goes to voicemail at 9pm. State the hours you really answer.
  • One line that says "all heating work undertaken" instead of naming repairs, servicing, installs and certificates separately.
  • Stock photos of a boiler you have never fitted. A phone photo of your own neat pipework does more.
  • No mention of area, so a customer fifteen miles away rings and wastes your time and theirs.

More on this in my guides: how to get more emergency call out work, showing accreditations like Gas Safe online, seasonal marketing (boiler servicing in summer). For the money side, see how much a trade website costs.

How it works, and what it costs

I am one person, not an agency. I made the builder so you can see your own site before you spend anything.

1. Build it yourself, free

Open the builder, type in your business name, area and phone number, and it puts your page together in about 2 minutes. No card up front.

2. Free for 14 days

Change the wording, look at it on your phone, show it to someone whose opinion you trust. It costs nothing for the 14 days.

3. Keep it for £299 once

If you keep it, it is £299 once and it goes live on its own address within 24 hours of payment. No monthly fee, hosting included. If you do not pay, it is switched off and nothing is charged.

The domain name itself is not included (about £8 to £15 a year, and it stays in your name). Connecting it is free.

Heating Engineer website FAQs

Questions heating engineers ask me. Anything else? Send me a message.

Can I show my Gas Safe number on the site?

Yes, and you should. The heating engineer layout in the builder has a place for your Gas Safe registration number near the top of the page, so a customer can check it against the Gas Safe Register before they ring.

Will there be a button for emergency call outs?

Yes. The page has a tap to call button at the top, so someone with no heating or hot water can ring you straight from their phone. Put the hours you actually answer next to it. If you do not offer out of hours cover, say so, and the page will still bring in planned work like installs and servicing enquiries.

Is it really free to build?

Yes. You build the site yourself in the builder in about 2 minutes, and it is free for 14 days. There is no card up front. If you keep it, it is £299 once, with no monthly fee and hosting included. If you do not pay, the site is switched off and nothing is charged.

What happens after 14 days?

If you want to keep the site, you pay £299 once and it goes live on its own address within 24 hours of payment. There is no monthly fee and hosting is included. The domain name itself is not included (about £8 to £15 a year), but connecting it is free. If you do not pay, the site is switched off and nothing is charged.

Should I put boiler prices on my website?

A from price or a typical range for a straight combi swap helps, because it filters out people who were never going to pay for a proper install. If every job is too different to price, explain what your quote visit covers and whether the quote is free.

I do plumbing as well as heating. Which layout should I pick?

Pick the one that matches the work you want more of. If boiler installs and servicing are your main income, start from the heating engineer layout and list plumbing as a service. If it is the other way round, start from the plumber layout. You can change the wording afterwards either way.
